Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)

DWP operates on a scale that is almost unmatched anywhere in Europe, and most people in Britain come into contact with them at some point in their lives. They offer:

DWP lead on the government’s policies for welfare, pensions and child support. They help people to find jobs and employers to fill vacancies. They make payments to jobseekers, pensioners, disabled people, parents and carers. Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH) Foundation Trust

GMMH is one of the largest specialist mental health providers in the country, providing inpatient and community-based mental health care for people living in Salford, Bolton, Manchester, Trafford and Wigan, and a wide range of specialist mental health and addiction services across Greater Manchester, the north west of England and beyond. They also provide health and justice services in custodial settings. GMMH employ over 7,000 members of staff and deliver services from 109 locations with an annual income forecast of £510.2million. In a 12-month period, they expect to meet the needs of around 97,000 service users.


 

Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA)

NCA provides hospital and integrated health and social care services to over one million people living across Greater Manchester. Their 20,000 colleagues care for people in hospital and in the community, working across Bury, Rochdale, Oldham and Salford, to save and improve lives.
