Employer lunch and learn: Financial wellbeing in winter

Discover local financial support in Salford and practical help to improve wellbeing and resilience during the winter months.

Financial stress is now one of the biggest drivers of sickness absence after mental health. Employees experiencing money worries are eight times more likely to have reduced productivity, and one in four workers say financial pressures affect their ability to concentrate.

With the continued rise in living costs and the onset of the winter months, many households face increased financial pressures, including higher energy costs, rising household bills and the additional expense associated with the festive season.

This session will raise awareness of Salford Assist, the council’s emergency support scheme, alongside the Crisis Resilience Fund and other local offers that can help staff access timely support.
