Salford GCSE students celebrated by council for their achievements

Students across Salford have been commended by Salford City Council for their dedication and hard work as they receive their GCSE results.
Councillor Jim Cammell, Lead Member for Children and Young People’s Services, said:
A huge well done to all Salford GCSE students. We’re immensely proud of their commitment. Our young people have been supported every step of the way by families, teachers, schools, and carers. We wish them all fulfilling and successful futures.
“The council remains firmly committed to working alongside communities to ensure Salford continues to be a place where children thrive. Supporting every child’s journey through learning, growth, and personal development is central to our vision.”
For those who may not have received the results they were hoping for, guidance is available through school careers advisers or dedicated online resources to help explore the next steps.
As part of the council’s corporate plan, making Salford a child friendly city is a core ambition - creating an environment where young people feel safe, supported, and empowered to succeed. This initiative reinforces the city’s commitment to amplifying the voices and rights of children across Salford.
