Free workplace wellbeing days available for Salford businesses

Salford City Council’s Health Improvement Service is offering Salford-based employers access to a fully-funded Workplace Wellbeing Day, available for a limited time on a first-come, first-served basis.
This free, on-site initiative is designed to support managers and staff who may be experiencing physical or mental health challenges, work-related stress, long-term conditions or early signs of absence due to ill health.
On the day, staff can access a range of practical support delivered by trained professionals, including:
- mini health checks including blood pressure and BMI
- support for physical and mental wellbeing through the WorkWell service
- stop smoking support
- menopause awareness and guidance
- chair-based exercises suitable for the workplace
- advice on healthy eating, weight management, relaxation and increasing physical activity
- support for employees experiencing musculoskeletal issues, including fast-track physiotherapy referrals where appropriate
This offer is completely free, exclusive to Salford businesses and delivered in partnership with Northern Care Alliance, the Department for Work and Pensions, Salford Employment Hub, University of Salford and other trusted partners. Availability is limited, and the offer runs until the end of June.
